Sue MacLeman is Chair and Non Executive Director of the Medical Technologies and Pharmaceuticals Growth Centre (MTPConnect).

She brings a unique set of experiences in technology commercialisation, strategic planning, capital markets and fund raising, M&A and alliance management.

Sue has more than 30 years’ experience as a pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical technology executive with senior roles in corporate, medical, commercial and business development.

Sue has served as CEO and Board member of several ASX and NASDAQ listed companies in the sector and is currently Chair - Anatara Lifesciences (ASX:ANR), Chair - MTPConnect (Medical Technology and Pharmaceuticals Industry Innovation Growth Centre), Chair of Tali Digital Ltd (ASX:TDI), Non-Executive Director of Palla Pharma Ltd (ASX:PAL), and Non-Executive Director - Oventus Medical Ltd (ASX: OVN).

Sue is also appointed to a number of academic and government advisory committees. Her broad commercial experience is underpinned by graduate qualifications in pharmacy and post graduate qualifications in corporate governance, commercial law, business administration and marketing.

Sue graduated with a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Queensland in 1984. In addition to pharmacy qualifications, Sue has completed a Masters of Marketing degree at Melbourne Business School, a Masters of Law Degree at Deakin University and a Fellowship with ACPP. She is also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

In addition to her leadership roles, Sue is passionate about addressing the skills gap in the medtech, biotech and pharmaceutical sector, upskilling the current workforce with the necessary business and commercialisation skills and creating pathways for students to easily transition from University to industry. She was recognised for her leadership with a BioMelbourne Network’s 2017 Women in Leadership award.

Sue was appointed to the veski board on 6 July 2017.
